Life

Dark

I sit here

Pondering the terrifying

The loss of breath

The loss of self

The lonely road to oblivion

All we have

Is these moments

Time is unforgiving

Fate is inevitable

Love is our legacy

An Alternative

"And then he greeted Death as an old friend, and went with him gladly, and, equals, they departed this life."

-J.K.Rowling, The Tale of the Three Brothers

As we cannot evade Death forever, why not accept him as a gift rather than an intruder?

I cannot comment too much, I often have the same thoughts as you, but as they say:

"Death is only the beginning." Whether beginning or end, both come welcome by the close.

Well written, I enjoy your works.

Your Friend,

~Seraphim
