The Infectious Disease

Hey, did you get the new iPhone 6?

Of course you did, everyone did.

Our lives revolve around technology

Its like a drug this generation can’t quit.

It screws up the mind

But people are too busy to notice

Everyday beauty passes them and they don’t bat an eye

The little screen is more important, right?

What if I told you that it wasn’t?

That this 50 likes on Instagram will soon be irrelevant.

That it won’t matter who commented on your post

Or that nobody would care about a pic you took at lunch?

I won’t lie

That used to be me

Hovering around outlets

Staying where I had really good WiFi

And not caring about the world

So, what would you do?

If I told you the phone wasn’t important

You’d call me crazy

Or worse, categorize me as a ‘hipster’

All because I see the true beauty of the world

And until we can get this plague of touch screens under control

I think I might be the only one.

I'm An Old "Hipster"

so watch it! :D Control of the mind has been the point for some time now. Radio, then tv, then hi-fi, distraction from anything 3-D and apart from the world around the devices. Satellites and GPS, or Starwards Missile Defense Shields, Ebola, the impending crash of world wide curriencies will cause the sheep to look up too late. When the lights go out, we will learn to build camp fires and sing again. - Just Bein' Lady A
