The New Generations

I miss the old days

Like fourth grade, in the courtyard, when we would make football plays

Before anyone had to worry about being hazed

No bullying, racism, no social network things

When we were equal, and weren’t judged by our height or weight

I wanna go back to the days when kids didn’t hate

When there were no cool kids

When things just clicked

When everyone got along

And nobody was different

Before all of the intoxications

And before any complications

I think thats the problem with this generation

Nowadays, its all about the media

Drinking and smoking, to meet the worlds criteria

If you wanna be cool, just get high

Nerds get good grades, not you and I

Drinking is fun, it takes away the pain

But when your buzzed

Do you really think the same?

Or do you act stupid?

Trying to fit in with the cool kids

But in your heart you know you’d never do this

Its wrong

Kids that get bullied, please stay strong

Don’t give in to pressure

Don’t take a puff, you’ll just regret it later

And don’t take a shot

Its pointless and stupid

It may seem cool now

But think of what your doin'

You're messing up your mind

It really isn’t worth it

Just think to yourself

“Do I deserve this?”

The cool kids today

Are selfish and conceited

They don’t do good deeds

They don’t think its needed

Theres nothing in it for them

So why even bother?

Its crazy, outrageous

And the funny thing is, kids act like its contagious

They don’t try and be different

Everybody just wants to fit in

Nobody questions them

They’re scared so they just give in

But thats not me

No matter what they say

I will never be a cool kid

And that’s okay
