Rachel Patton (no middle name) Eulogy from her only son

(Isaiah 40:6~7) All flesh is grass, which withereth; the flower fadeth.

(Psalm 102:4) Hearts wither like grass.

(90:6) ...flourishing in the morning, withering and cut down in the evening.

(Joel 1:12) Even Joy withers away from Man.

(Psalm 103:15~16) For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone, and the place thereof shall know it no more.

OUR DAYS ARE AS MERE GRASS AND FLOWERS

.....ahhhhh,  but that grass leaves such sweet fragrance,

and the flower such sweet scent,

that we cannot doubt their existence

'though we know not where they went.

Even if the place where they once thrived

is now merely  shadow-wrapped  pain,

still we are blessed because they once lived,

and their loving fragrance shall remain.

We are each the other's faithful reminder

that all Love is renewed forever

each time that we do remember

that the wind that blows over us

is The Spirit Of The Lord;

It comes sweet, pouring over us,

making Life sweeter than before.

Absolutly beautiful....a wonderful sense of peace that can only come from knowing the living God through seeking His face in prayer....God bless you!!.......keep writing

I know it isn't finished with the typos and you said it wasn't finished, but that is a beautiful, beautiful tribute. The scriptures started out all cut-down and withered and I thought, "How much longer do I HAVE?" Then you started that perfect flow of words--the fragrance remains...

I love this more than you could possibly know. Only a mother could know how beautiful it is. Your mother would be even prouder of you than she was if she could read this.

It's our mothers who pray for us when no one else does.
