Eugene Raymond

I’ve found only one

true man-friend, not embarrassed

or threatened by me--

my poetry,my friendship,

or my mind or my desires.

(He died, &  I miss

his harmonies, his humor,

his wonderful life.)

"Gene Raymond, "GINO!"-

what a wonderful man, he!,

in Hof, or Paris!

Amazing & true!

Accepting himself AND me!

Secrets, DAUNT & TRINE!

Generous with life,

more given Life than he took!

So alone, so sad.

Thanks! Thank you Gino,

for teaching ME how to love

past misconceptions!

Author's Notes/Comments:

We were in Government "Special Services", where improper "orientation" could cost you your career.  Gino entrusted me with his secret & his future because he sensed my sensitivity, and that I'd never divulge to anyone, despite "need to know". He was an unusual man, & I'm sorry I didn't find him again before he died.  MISS YOU, GINO.!)
