Heart resents this feeling;

Doesn’t want to give in.

Been gone so long now;

Could never return to old ways.

Been lost

Been cold

Been numb……

A fallen angel with burned wings,

Sits alone with tears that sting.

Children live harsh lives;

They cry

They hide

Then they die.

The earth puts on a bright face,

Just to hide the dark truth.

A life of pain that some seem

To forget and ignore.

Smile at what’s happy,

And never live like before.

Sun shines

Sun blinds

Sun burns….

One man’s happiness is

Another man’s failure.

In this bitter transduction

That spreads on and on…..

Hurts my soul,

And I’m left confused.

Can’t give in to these ways;

Must fight,

Must live,

Must learn.

Digress from illusion

And see more than black and white.

Configure what was lost

So that it can be found.
