Trading Time

Please forgive me,

believe me,

don't decieve me,

be that grain of sand,

that turns my hourglass back around,

cause I've been lost in time longer than you've been alive,

and I would trade every second of it,

just to have you at my side,

just hold my hand,

breathe life into me again,

you may not understand,

but I've waited for someone like you for so long,

That I feel damned,

and it is beyond me to comprehend,

why I am sitting here alone believing again....

This is a nice poem. The

This is a nice poem. The desperation is felt, but then the line "breathe life into me again"...really solidifies the whole thing. I don't know if desperation is a firm foundation for a relationship, but ....I guess anything is possible?

 

But even if it isn't...the poem is very touching.
