Knotted Men

For the sorrow of it, I still mourn.

how could the universe create such twisted, knotted men as these?

Barely shadows of what they ought to be,

Such men as these, like a songbird with no voice to sing,

it's hushed lullibye to the dusk of night, never to ring.

Tis true that suffering, can create wonderous things,

but old wives would tell you,

where the water is tainted, tis best not to drink,

A man is only good as his source,

like a tree grows out of whatevers beneath,

such men as these grow knotted, and twisted,

by the roots that grow too near deciet...

A Mans Poem For Men

Society (family and others) is the source. If we make it better, the people (including the men) thrive. So much bad happens to us growing into adulthood, the scars are deep and some have insufficient mentoring and love in their pasts to counter the evil out there. For me it was reading. Twisted - too many causes possible for that - even for females - Great theme that I have been thinking about lately. Be well ~Allets~
