Looking Into Your Eyes

When I look into your eyes
and marvel at your size,
I find it hard to believe
that I can ever let you leave.

I know that it's not up to me,
because it's up to mom and foster care, you see.
But as long as you're with us
I'll take care of you when you fuss.

Author's Notes/Comments: 

Poem in progress, again a poem about our current foster child, I come up with lines as I'm looking at her, and then I try to remember to write them down! I hope to have it finished soon!
