the only good that comes from fighting.

I was once blind but now I just close my eyes

And the things that blur in the horizon

Are just half the size

They are supposed to be.

So I will find my way

Through plastic trees

And reach out for something to see.

It's hard to be thankful for anything

When you believe you deserve it all.

For all the things I've done

I'm done in by who I am

Stretching forward slowly

To find the window jammed

The dark seems to wrap around me

Like a cold blanket on a wet sea

And I feel the black water choking

And I forget to breathe.

I can feel you.

Can you feel me?

You are the only grip

And I, I am the sand

Finding myself falling

Never to be my own again.

I like this poem a lot. I especially like the lines:

The dark seems to wrap around me
Like a cold blanket on a wet sea
And I feel the black water choking
And I forget to breathe.

Similes are my favorite, nice job.
