The sandman drowns us in the sea

Why do you hate me,

Mr Sandman?

What did I ever do?

Did I toy with you,

Those times,

I challenged you?

I was in my prime,

And I wanted to,

Respect the moment.

Those kind of occasions,

Are not to be slept through.

But now I wish you'd leave me,

To sleep,

My life is not yours to keep.

What must I do with these empty hours?

How can I get through these days you devour?

Time is for you,

So take me away,

Don't look down and smirk at me,

In this redundant bed in which I lay.

I enjoy your use of rhyme,

I enjoy your use of rhyme, and your ability to gain a lyrical tone in pretty much all of your work. It has a certain... underlying use of understatement throughout it, and yet a certain poise. You seem quite calm when you write as well, I like it.

"Satellite's gone
up to the skies.
Thing like that drive me
out of my mind.

I watched it for a little while:
I love to watch things on TV." - Lou Reed
