Sunrise

I slowly watch the sunrise as your lids seperate

and I'm lost again, deep in your eyes.

You sleepily smile back at me

and I can't help but sigh.

How did I get so lucky to say that you are mine.

To know that, when I'm troubled, this sunrise keeps me in line.

I lose my breath when you look at me

and I see you searching my soul.

But, even in my darkest hour,

This sunrise makes me whole.

This is a very good poem. It's so true how no matter what, something as simple as a smile and a sunrise can make life seem so beautiful and remind you of the love there is.
