Tony miscellany - 2025

Regarding what's on Broadway these days

I've barely paid attention

I came across this story of current musicals and plays

Was something I wanted to mention

I did a double take

Didn't know what to think

Read the headline, what am I to make

Of Tony nominated George Clooney, Sarah Snook and Sadie Sink?

They could be a law firm, a popular one too

'Clooney, Snook, and Sink, how may I help you?'

George Clooney takes on the role of Edward R Murrow

A man who warned us yesterday what could happen by tomorrow

Sara Snook, there a Snook, everywhere a Snook, look

Audra McDonald, she will win, everybody knows

But it's not the same category as Sara Snook

That's the way it goes

Speaking of the way it goes

What to do about Sadie Sink?

Everything else at her we throws

It's not a good idea, it stink

I'd recommend seeing a show, but omg, the price

If the tickets were lower, that would be nice

If you see a good show, you'll remember, so

If you can, I'd say go

One additional thought..

One additional thought regarding Sadie Sink receiving a Tony nomination:

I really don't know what to think

About the nomination of Sadie Sink

Should I cry? Should there be tears?

I understand Sadie Sink has been

A fixture in her life for years

Sadie Sink was just installed

And by the way the plumber called

He'll try to see you by next week

To do something about that leak

I understand, so I've been told

Sadie Sink runs hot and cold

Could say some more, I think I'll toss it

Don't want you to think I faucet

Now the train switched to

Now the train switched to Farrah Fawcett, so much for Christopher Plummer.

Broadway shifts, stars step

Broadway shifts, stars step in, names that once lit screens now flicker on marquees.

The price climbs, but the stage still hums— if you can, go!

I agree 100%. Don’t get..

I agree 100%. Don't get me started about the ticket prices. Along with a ballgame or a concert, the cost is a major factor when and if I want to go to one. But seeing a live performance can be a memorable experience. Thanks for your comment.
