This is a story of Mike and Gloria

Who lived in the borough of Queens, in Astoria

Their marriage didn't work

Because Mike was a jerk

Gloria did all the work, Mike got all the glory, uh

Gloria couldn't take it anymore, see?

Said 'This is not how a marriage should be

Why should I even bother?

I'll go back home to my father

All I have now is my family'

Mike wasn't what you'd call a 'brain'

When Gloria told him of her plans, went insane

He said 'Why not instead

Just call me a 'meathead'?

This idea of yours is causing me pain'

Even though Mike gave her a fit

From him Gloria would not split

Thought 'Mike's the type of guy

Who I can never say goodbye

Wouldn't even dare think of it'

'I know living with him is a pain

All the time I'm under such strain

Have the blues every day

But if I choose to stay

I may have a lot to gain'

What did Gloria have to gain? Huh?
