Heard about the latest war?

Between a big department store

Grant's and another store, Lee's

There's no love lost between the owners

Edward Grant and Harry Lee

Their hate toward each other is so great

It's passed down to their employees 

Recently, an employee of Grant's was arrested

And charged with shoplifting merchandise 

From Lee's which is not very nice 

In his defense, he offered the following explanation 

'I admit I stole merchandise from Lee's department store

If I wasn't arrested, I would have stole more

Contrary to what you may have heard

No, the evidence wasn't planted

Yes, I took some stuff from the shelf

But I didn't take it for myself

You know who I took it for?

I took it for Grant, Ed!'
