"i'm sorry"

"i am sorry"

"i am so sorry..."

this is all she hears

but your words have lost all sincerity

to her bleeding heart

do you know she cries at night

because of what you say

"i'm sorry" is supposed to help

but do you know how much hurt it did

she wishes she could do right

and you would not pretend

why is it always "i'm sorry"

and never, "i did it on purpose"

she knows in her heart

why you did it

but her ears, they fall for

"i'm sorry"

everytime...

you said you'd love her forever

and she's in love with the movies

to her, "love means never having to say your sorry"

and you do

have you thought to stop hurting her

what about when you saw her cry

she said she loved you

and once upon a time you said it back

she still loves you

and all you said was "i'm sorry"

now she cries at night

wishing you would say it back

and she wonders

as she slowly wipes her tears away

why her heart has to break...





and she wants you to know...
