i looked in your eyes

and i saw me

as one would in a relfection

but it was different this time

not like a mirror

because i saw me

the way you see me

and you took my breath away



you always come to mewhen you need advice

i will always be the girl with the definations

who knows right from wrong

and loves the words she says

you said you loved them too

and you took my breath away



i come to you

when i need to feel

you always wrap me in your arms

and i feel safe

that was always the safest place to be

you keep me together

and you took my breath away



i never do tell you this

because i spend to much time talking

sometimes the best compliment is silence

i always know the right thing to say though

you said that

and you took my breath away



i wish you'd do that more

and that i'd shut up sometimes

that'd i let a moment pass without

filling it with useless knowledge

but i need you to know that

just because i always know the right thing to say

doesn't mean you can't leave me speechless
