Poised to write

the tale of you and I

a beautiful tear

falls from her eye



Her peace is calm

but she won't survive

and yet has she

ever been alive

she's a contridiction

never happy hates the world

and yet, has there

ever been a happier girl



At night she cries

for a lost love

that fled to the sky

up above



She gives to others

begs nothing in return

her heart is full of love

yet, it's love to burn



Her song is sad

with a dreary tone

and yet, you want

to listen to it alone



Her eyes are filled

with a bleeding sadness

deep and heavy yet,

they fill you with gladness



She is inside of you

and inside of me

the part of us

we want no one to see



She'll break your heart

with one shining tear

she'll seem far away

but she's very near



She'll take over your life

but she won't hurt you

she'll make you better

cause it's the right thing to do



She'll love you forever

if forever's what you need

you'll take her sadness

yet, you won't bleed



You can't run away

she's in your heart

You'll always be together

yet, you'll never want to be apart.
