A Happy Ending

My friend was lost, but now she's found.

She put her feet on solid ground.

The man she loves wants to stay

By her side for all their days.

No longer does she want to die.

She is with the perfect guy.

She listens now and understands

That those who care will take her hand

To help her through her troubled life

And help her burden all her strife.

She's happy now 'cause she's engaged.

She's no longer full of rage.

She thinks of what the future might hold.

She thinks of him when her parents scold.

She can't believe how happy she is.

She never could have dreamed of this.

"Thank you, Lord," I pray everyday.

"You've kept me strong and kept her safe.

Be with her, Lord, as she goes on

To live her life with faith so strong."
