Did a katydid just kiss you
was it there upon your neck
cause I was just a wondering
and if he didn't, well what the heck
Did a turtle just jump into your lap
as you sat there on the bench
and did a pole cat just walk by you
with an awful polecat stench
Did an apple blossom just fall down
and land upon your hand
did a pretty girl just hug you
with blond hair long and grand
I know this is a silly poem
but goodness, what the heck
did a katydid just land on you
did he kiss you on the neck
