IT'S BEEN SO HARD TODAY

why did you go away
it's been a while now, since you've gone
but it's been so hard today
The flowers are blooming once again
that you loved so very much
and tho the garden seems to grow
it need's your gentle touch
The birds still sing up in the trees
and the old stream flows on gently by
I just heard a song you used to love
and it makes me want to cry
Today I saw a friend of yours
and we laughed and shed a tear
we talked of you in loving ways
becaue we felt you near
I seem to hear your voice so sweet and low
coming through the mist
and your warmth surrounds me once again
and I feel like I've ben kissed

I was your loving wife
and searing pain stabs me in the heart
and cuts me like a knife
A gentle breeze blows cross my face
is it you that touched my cheek
for darling, at the very thought of you
it makes my knees grow weak
When night time comes and lights are low

T'was one early morn you left me here
and winged your way on high
