Today I sit and watch the summer rain

as it falls down in rivlets at my feet

today my life is filled with awesome pain

and all my world is cold and bittersweet

Today I sit with many thoughts of you

my most beloved love, the liar and the cheat

and now my heart breaks even more for you

I thought our love was everlasting and complete

But life goes on, I will survive this too

but you will always live within my heaart

I can't forget the one so false and so untrue

and in my dreams, our love will never part

How can this happen, when only yesterday

you said you cared

how can this be when all our hopes were

coming true

oh love, the pain is almost more than I can bear

and I will always, always  love and care for you

All day I planned and sang love songs

and thought how happy life would be

I thought about the years, side by side

and we would share life's lifes greatest pleasure's

you and me

Together we would watch the sun come up

each morn

and put the moon to bed to sleep the day

together we would pick wild flowers in the breeze

and watch the butterflies and fireflies at play

I thought we'd hear the birdsongs, hand in hand

and walk the trails of nature side by side

I thought that all the world was ours to see

for very soon I'd be your loving bride

But now you've gone without an explanation

or a word

and I have cried my bitter tears and

wondered why

now I shall never trust or love again

and I will live in lonliness and pain

until I die
