A lost child

When a friend looses a child

what do you say?

I struggle with the words

but feel they all came in vain

She and her child were far from close

but I know she loved her

Harsh words kept them apart

Now she feels lonely

thinking it was her fault.

Author's Notes/Comments:

My dear friend lovethatred recently lost her daughter, she is stuggling with how to cope with it.  I'm far from a poet but I still have words in my heart.

Faith , and hope May

Faith , and hope

May sometimes break the Ice of loss

And other times it just stays there like a

Shining knife,

A dark cloud

Loss is unforgettable.

P.s: May she find the silver lining.

Blessings

My condolences to your friend at the loss of her daughter. This is all so unfair for her, your friend. As her friend you can only do what is humane and be there for her when she is going through the different stages of grief.

You say nothing I think. You listen and listeen and listen some more...and you try to inspire faith that we are all here on earth to experience unique journeys. It is not what we do while we are here, or what we do not do..it is about how we rise from adversity and heartache that will benefit our time here.

...and that will benefit all whose lives we touch.

...and he asked her, "do you write poetry? Because I feel as if I am the ink that flows from your quill."

"No", she replied, "but I have experienced it. "
