creatures from above

This is a poem that tells a story
Of what happened to a pretty lady one morning
She got out of bed like any other day
She brushed her hair and washed her face
She got ready for work and went outside
Got in her Jetta and went for a ride

The sky was so blue and the trees were so green
She failed to notice some thing was watching
Suddenly there was a flash of bright light
And the road and her car were no longer in sight
she could see nothing but dark and despair
Except some colored spots floating in the ‘air’

Then something was drilled into the top of her head
She cried out in anguish as her head swelled and bled
But when the thing came to a rest in her brain
She no longer felt even a little pain
She put her hand on the top of her skull
And found a metal rod coming out of a hole

Her surrounding slowly came into focus
And in an instant reality turned bogus
She viewed everything in a shady red glow
The figures around her were starting to show
She wished they wouldn’t so she closed her eyes tight
But it did no good for they were still in her sight

She wasn’t even sure she had eyes anymore
‘Cause the antenna in her brain was seeing for her
She noticed her captors had antennas as well
And atop each of them was a glowing colored ball
She paid close attention to the encroaching creatures
She noted their strange and unearthly features

“Be still earth girl” they transmitted to her
“We come in peace, we just want your…”
“What was it again? Oh yeah, spleen”
“Well you cannot have it!” the young lady screamed
“We need it so badly and I’ll tell you why
If you don’t give it up then our species will die!”

“You see,” the creatures began to explain
“There is an epidemic on our home planet Zane
It’s wiped out half our race and spreading quickly
For years we have needed a remedy
And at last we have found one, in you it resides
So we need your spleen to save our lives!”

The lady got up intending to run
But in that moment she was zapped by a gun
She shrieked “you can’t take it, no please no!”
And they said, “we can, there’s nothing you can do!”
She sobbed and screamed with panic and rage
They cast malicious grins to her in her cage

They took her out and strapped her to a table
She tried to struggle but was not able
Out came their tools, sharp and noisy
Her heart was skipping beats like crazy
Then they cut her in half through blood and bone
And then she woke up in her bed safe at home

That was

That was very......Interesting for the sake of finding no better word. I'm wondering if it was a dream or something else? Well you caught my attention, and I quite like it. Good job!
