Lies The Truth Lightly On Lenin's Conscience

"The people long for bread and liberty---

"and for these two, their appetites are hearty.

"The Czar continues to thwart each demand.

"But we, the Bolsheviki, understand;

"we only.  We will make these workers free

"to be submissive to our vanguard Party.

"The Marxist line works well for this; I bend a

"theory or two to fit my own agenda.

"The workers serve the Party that serves me.

"That locomotive Marx called History

"hurls over steeling rails to reach my goal---

"obsession of my life, it twists my soul.

"My vengenace will soon rise, like a red star

"to guide us in the murder of the czar

"and every last one of his family.

"That is my purpose; and I have no other---

"vengeance for my poor, executed brother."

The idea of communism seems

The idea of communism seems grand to the young it purposes a mommy/daddy state that looks like it could not fail. The truth is it will always become warped with an elite that will never be subject to the deprivation of many.

Mao said something like 'power comes from the end of a gun' didn't his people realise that the gun would be pointed at them? I guess not until it was too late.

Thanks for the comment, and I

Thanks for the comment, and I agree with your interpretation.  In Lenin's case, I think he created the mopmmy/daddy state primarily to seek vengeance on the czar's family for the execution of his older brother who made an attempt on the life of the previous czar.  To murder four adolescent girls and one prepubescent boy, himself a bleeder with not many years to live, did not advance the Bolshevik agenda one bit.  I think it hardened public opinion against any good that might have been accomplished by some of the redistributions (authority, land, assets, etc).  Marx was a tool that Lenin was able to manipulate into a huge smokescreen to hide his sole purpose.  The foundation was shakey from the beginning (hence it's ultimate collapse), but Lenin and his bulldog Joe set enough terror props to keep it going for a long time.
