If you look into my eyes

Tell me, what can you see?

Will you know the tears I've cried

Can you tell when I'm not me?

If you look into my eyes

Can you see what I've seen?

Do you know what I've been through?

Can you tell when I'm not me?

If you look into my eyes

Can you see into my soul?

Will you see how hard I try

To fill the void to become whole?

If you look into my eyes

Tell me, can you read me at all?

Even when I'm feeling empty

And my eyes are dim and dull

They say that the eyes

Are the window to the soul

But can you really see me

If my eyes are always closed?
