Writing

I think that writing is my only release

The only way I can find peace

The only way you can truly see me

Writing my heart and I'm free

See deep in my soul, in to my heart

Then maybe you can see, poetry's not just an art

Crying out letters on a page

Tears of hasppiness, ones of rage

Flowing so freely from my lips

From my words the emotion drips

Maybe you understand me finally today

And you understand when I say:

Poetry the my only release

The only way I find peace.

Author's Notes/Comments:

This is true, if you read my works I think you see further into my mind and soul and heart better then anyone who see's me  just by looking at me. And I by writing, I am exspressing any emotions that I am feeling, it really sets me free in away. But Music too is also how I find peace with the world and it's common stresses. Maybe you can relate, maybe you can't.

I can sooooooo relate to this poem. Poetry is meant for us quiet people who don't really say too much, we're more private with our thoughts. It's definitely an release(check out my poem entitled "The Escape") Whenever I'm down, playing the piano always calms me down. Otherwise, when I'm super emotional, I'll write some really crazy poetry . It's great that way. Also, I've learned a lot about you just by checking out your site, and I've known you for like 5 years! lol From Jessie
