Amusing Kill
Jelousy is a curse
I'm glad I don't have it.
Scorn and torn.
Insignificant claw away
Clamourning for the drop of light.
Poetic vampire trying with might
To cast a shadow over bright.
But,
I don't go where
shadows fall
Unless to grab
something of value
And bring it to light.
Truthfully,
I make the shadows and
find more value in the spark.
The envy of a mind
that thinks for its self
must be an awful burden
and an unwilling muse
But I am willing
to offer to you this gift
My sacrifice for musing
Peruse and ruse and bring it to the table
Though more artistry should
Really show as chimeras are able
You flatter me with my own words
I evade your flimsy attempt to kill
Moot it does not interest me your beguile
For I have a different style
I kill with kindness
And if and when you do create
a poet's spark of heart honest
and true and of you;
I will be there to clap and whistle for
I devalue every valued sting.
I pray for you and your poetic soul
May you find it again in whole.
And bid you with utmost respect adieu in lieu
For want of a better 'my own' word.
