The search for beauty
in the fires of your heart,
start at warmth of it and never ends
At its inception,
the masterful makers of heart fires
marked you out as extraordinary
captivated by the feeling
well before I see it burning in your eyes
Take me with you
light me up like a burning man effigy
explode my heart into a million stars
to chase across the skies
with one simple yess
a doorway
to a thousand and more exhilarating deaths
and rebirths
Set me alight
with all the colours of your love
x
Colors and stars and fires, oh my
Make me an effigy
Burn my soul in your memory
Show me the light to see
The path back to your sympathy
Take me away to space
And show me your subtle grace
Resonate my heartstrings' strum
Echoing through the thrum
While we march to our own drum
And hold me as I come undone
Paint me a memory
Show it off for all to she
So they'll know what it means to be
Etched by your energy
Sing me a song so sweet
Call me to feed your need
Hold me til the storm recedes
Soaked in possibility
As the stars fill the night sky
Remember, they were put there to shine
