I too used to be afraid of that. And really, just the fact that we post it online puts us at risk. Any body can take it. Unethically. And how will we know?

Oh just some asshole redressing and taking credit it for my ideas at work, but don't worry I stiffed her. Gave her a bogus one now she's in the shit! Lol! But I'm taking all my work away from there. And hopefully finding another job.

I read tomes and we email work parties propositions and we'll I found her stuff which is all my stuff. Reworded and my stuff written well before it wasn't ready to present so she finished them but it all pays in the iend. I'm just going to look like a jealous freak if I say anything and lose credibility. So I'm still pissed. :)

don't worry about that person though. obviously they don't have the necessary skills on their own, so u'll have a ring side seat to the moment when they fall on their face... unless of course by then you've moved on to something bigger and better. they'll still fall, but u might not actually get to watch it then.
Theft Is Theft
It is indecent and unethical. I was considering yesterday that selfishness is the virtue I never mastered, but everyone else seems to have it nailed. Being able to duplicate brilliance on demand is the word theif's problem THEY CAN'T DO IT! You gotta hang in there long enough to see her/him/they fall flat on their faces. I worked as an Exec. Asst (a hundred years ago) and none of "my" word-work was ever acknowledged publically - the Executive takes the credit and you get paid. There is also the legal definition of ownership of creative properties. Whatever you create on the employer's dime, belongs to the employer , not you and defininetly not co-workers. I'm sorry that happened to you. Time cures anger, but I would let managment and my boss know what (they) did. So that steps can be taken to prevent it from happening again.

Job market is tight - unless you know somebody who knows sombody. Anger fades, it is one of those emotions that are explosive, then the bang, then all settles down again and you are the phoenix - you rise from the ashes renewed. Protect your work. Do not share it or publish it until you have alerted your supervisor that the project outline wording is yours. Hindsight is 20/20, but I'd be inprison today if all that has been "stolen" from me was acted upon - yep, stripes and chain gang.

Thanks Stella, the work is nothing I it's the bullshit I can't stand and the slanderous crap she says about me. Complaints and crap so I'm taking leave for three months to fill in somewhere else then we'll see, if she is good enough her and her IT boyfriend can steal other people's work. My suff is off a network pc now only on my personal laptop and drives. My supervisor is great head boss is a dipshit. :( yes I'll be fine plenty of work offers but working on a big project for a lot of people. They need their jobs and happy to see it through and then leave. Lord knows I couldn't live with myself if I was the reason the project didn't go ahead, God is great, and I can turn the other cheek and wait to see what is next in God's timing.
