Trip Through My Body

Folder:
poems

I dreamt last night

You ran along my spine

Kicking stones on the way

Little knowing of the damage

You were causing

I felt sharp pains

When you reached my lungs

Jumping in the muddy puddles

Took my breath away but

Not for the first time

I stopped to think

You had arrived at my brain

Climbing up the rope

Pulling out the emotions

Not how I imagined

I suddenly stop in shock

Final destination, the heart

Pushed the coloured buttons

Forced it to go faster, though this

Happens all the time when you are involved

Author's Notes/Comments:

this is actually about a relationship between a child and a parent.
