Medicine Woman

Oh wise and trusted spirit,
That twists the vines in rays of sun,
And causes the rivers to flow and sing,
Bring me a love great medicine woman,
Giving me the gift of warmth and spring...

Let her smile blossom into flowers,
Her eyes fill with two pools of water,
Her hands fruitful while passing the hours,
With a voice that sings songs of childhood dreams,
As i see her in shadows of rising red dawn...

I can see her coming forth with sun to rise,
she wears her fur in glistening snow,
Sweet medicine woman so beautiful and wise,
I drink from your cup of herbal cures.
Let us share the mother earth together...

Your tenderness comes forth with thunder and lightning,
But you bring shelter to a place now called home,
ancient mother, daughter of the storm you bring
Words of ancient wisdom and the spirit of the wolf that roams.
Come now mother, i am part of your pack...

I give to you my years left to live,
For i have never been truly understood.
Climb into my soul and take what I have left to give.
I am lying next to you my sweet mother of the earth.
Now I live and am understood, it is why I love you so...
