Driving away from you

As you were walking away from me

I realized

I had closed myself off to you

Again

It's been so long

Since we last talked

Since we last held each other

I shut down

No longer letting you in

Like I had

Just a year ago

When I was vulnerable

And you were all that I could have ever needed

But not now

I see

You are my chasing Amy

And I'll never catch up to you

As we walk away from each other.
