TREASURES OF LIFE

    I am only one but have many parts.

    Have unique ideas within my heart.

    Ponder on the things deep in my soul;

    May not know all the answers even when old.

    The Literary world can pass me by.

    I may not have the courage to even ask why.

    May lose the battles I have wanted to win,

    or I may reach out to someone called friend.

    I may fail miserably upon life's quest.

    or consider my failures a temporary test.

    Become bewildered when the stress comes my way,

    or I may realize there is always a better day.

    When I seriously think of my life thus far.

    Not sorry at all I am not a great star.

    Would not trade fame or fortune for what I possess.

    For love of friends and family, I would give up the rest.

Indeed, one's life should not measured by the fame nor fortune or length of days...but by the brightness of smiles, closeness of hugs and sincerity of hearts. Smilesz. Great inspirational poem, sarah. Am glad i read this. GREAT work ~! Do read my poem Embracing Life, in my first hall. I wrote that for someone who lives her life as fruitfully as the persona in this masterpiece of yours here. Smilezs.
