Secular Poetry Hold my hand and freeze my soul
Pluck my heart from amid the leaves
Dance with me, laugh with me
Hang my heartaches out to dry-
Upon a thread of shimmering silk.
Seize my mind and steal my heart
Sing a precious song for me
Gaze at the sky every so often
Pull a star down from the night-
Hide it deep within your soul.
Take away my breath, don't give it back
Hold my heart inside your own
Smile for me, melt my soul
Remember me no matter what-
To you I shall return.
