Wasting my life away

Wishing of things that never seem to happen

I want you to see me and fall

Let your heart slip away and become vulnerable

But your eyes are always astray

I want you to hold me and whisper you love me

But the words never leave your mouth

I see you down the hall

And wonder if you see me at all

Think of me when I’m not there

Dream of me when you lay awake

And cannot fall asleep

I can’t keep you out of my thoughts

No matter what I’m thinking

It always leads back to you

Your fervent brown eyes are like a drug

I could stare into them all day

I’m addicted to you

You hypnotize me

Every time you walk into the room

I zone out entirely from whatever I’m doing

If you’re having this much affect on me now

I can’t possibly contemplate what will occur

When time goes by

And I’ve fallen completely head over heels

For you
