The Simplicity

Why do I love you?

Well,

Why does the Mockingbird sing, and

Why does the coal smolder?

Why do I love you?

Well,

Why does the flower wilt, and

Why does the star burn?

Why do I love you?

I love you because I simply do.

Just as you are simply beautiful, and

As I am simply crazy for you.

Just as the Moon simply conducts the ocean,

You simply guide my heart.

Just as a princess simply seizes her assassin,

You simply captivate my thoughts.

Just as an incurable disease simply invades a body,

You simply conquer my being.

Just as a prisoner simply notches tallies into stone,

You simply were engraved into me.

Why do I love?

Well, because you are simply the way you are.

But the real question is,

Do you love me?

I too enjoyed this. It had a nice rounded feel to it. Like a smooth soapstone found in a stream.

Nice Simple Poem

To be loved

is a simple thing.

Just hold your

slowly, and make

the declaration.
