Standing Still

I am alive,

But why?

What is my purpose?

To be a wife?

Bear children?

I feel like I'm going no where.

With no purpose.

I feel like I'm stuck.

Weights on my ankles,

My feet glued to the ground.

I can't put one foot in front of the other.

I'm standing still.

Going no where.

I have no future,

Only a past.

I am standing still,

While time moves forward.

Let me move forward too,

Let me have a path.

Let me have a path."

these two lines are inspiring:
"My feet glued to the ground.
I can't put one foot in front of the other."

and this shoots the whole scene:
"I have no future,
Only a past."
