FINAL CURTAIN.

Folder:
NATURE.

Sea bursting into

Blushing cloud

As a amorous sun

Buries his head

In her ample bosom.

Pines leaning with

False and spinsterish

Disapproval,

Filling the air

With resinous sighing.

A late seabird

Sensing its opportunity

For immortality

Outlines itself

Against the fading sky.

Somewhere

A hidden moorpork

Calls plaintively

For the final curtain

Of the night.

Author's Notes/Comments:

A moorpork is a New Zealand native owl.
