Daddy

Daddy

You didn't kiss me good night.

You didn't come to my bed.

You didn't tuck me in real tight

After my prayers were said.

I didn't sleep well Daddy

I had lots of bad dreams.

I was alone. A monster came.

I called you in loud screams.

Daddy, you never saved me.

I really nearly died

And when I woke up, afraid,

I cried and cried and cried.

Where are you Bestest Daddy?

I miss you very much.

I miss your hugs and kisses

I miss your Daddy touch.

I haven't heard you laughing

In your deep lion roar.

I haven't seen you twinkle

As you crawl on the floor.

And you're the only tickler

Who can make me giggle.

When I think of your tickles

They can make me wriggle.

Daddy, you didn't hold me

And you didn't kiss me.

Where are you Bestest Daddy?

Daddy, don't you miss me?

I really feel this poem, your words and the love. I feel the same way about my daddy that passed away when I was 13 yrs old. Nice job!
