The ribbons are seen before
the gift is opened.
The rippling ribbon rays of
dawn arrive
before onto the horizon
pops the present
.. of the sun's presence.
The lightning is seen before
God's thundering words are heard.
The blossom comes before
the apple.
The messengers of God
come before He does
as the gifts of the Spirit
are often visible
before the Spirit's fruits.
Yet paradoxically He is
always inside.
