SEMANTIC ANTICS

When someone kills 10 others

and himself he is called

a suicide bomber.

When Harry Truman instructed

someone to drop

an atom bomb on Hiroshima,

it was a polycidal bombing.
The death of 10 is called terror.

The death of hundreds of thousands is called

defending freedom.

When 10 million a day

in US dollars

launches against

Palestinians .. missiles

they are not love's

but hate's epistles



Tree-less lynchings which have

occurred on the street or in police

stations or prisons.. are still

lynchings.





FIDELITY



one can

get diseases such

as leukorrhea

from infidelity

even in Korea

They said to Him

'no room at the inn'

but He said

"I was a stranger

and you took me in"

BREAKING THE CHAINS



Sadness lead me

to gluttony which took

me to sloth which

dragged me to greed

and then to anger..

the evil brood was linked



NO MORE PIETAS



The Pieta.. carved from

grief

of Mary holding her

decrossed Son's body..



No more Pieta's God..

no more mothers holding

their fallen sons in so

many countries..

thank You for ending

all wars today and forever



UNFOLDED BUD



GOD help me to love

the unfolded bud heart

as much as the one

fullblown

Help me to love

the sour green fruit

as much as the sweet

tucked in her leafy throne



THEFT



Every sirloin

Every pork loin

mankind did purloin..

both from murder

and from theft

They take the

silhouette of a cow

and draw dotted

lines ..

carving up the one

.. dividing her lots

Christ's blood

its crimson rain

washes off

axes on trees, knives on

animals



I could pray to You only

as Lord of Love



LIGHTNING



Grey clouds of despair

.. the lightning of his

humorous cheer

has cleaved



PURLOINED



neighbors bait

traps with tuna fish

and lure cats

.. into the cages..

then take them to

the Summit County Animal

Shelter, from which they

are grabbed by Ohio State

and other Frankensteins







INGATHERING



As arrows are

magnetized to

their mother quiver

so the sea is

constantly

ingathering her rivers



CHICORY



Oh the fields of chicory

have been made a cricketery



WISH WASH



The mountain gossiped

that the sea was

wishy washy

as she washed all

the coins tossed into

her wishing well

and helped GOD

to actualize them.
