EIGHT THIMBLES

With herA 8 thimbles
on hands so nimble
she weaves through
the night
... but not til
dawn is her web
bejeweled with dew
.. shining with
the sun

LIFTED UP

While one thousand others
did scramble and climb
because of her soul beauty
she was by Ganesha's trunk lifted up

(to GJMF who was lifted up
by the trunk of Ganesha)

TIME THE MIRACLE MAKER

The ugly duckling has
grown to swan
The worm has purple wings
Cinderella has
become the queen
Sleeping Beauty is
awakened and sings.

JASMINE SCENT

The South Wind
for the evening
has donned
jasmine scent

BLOOM AND BUTTERFLY

The bloom and butterfly
ask not which is
clad in more beautiful
clothes

.. ones shining wings
the others pastels....
how beautiful when she
arose
from the petals of the rose

BEAUTY MAGNET

As many chipped away
in ladder building
Ganesha on a high hill
looking oer the thousands
on the plains below..
unfurled his infinite trunk
and selected Jan of the
most beautiful heart..
for that was what
drew his magnet
..wound his trunk around
her waist.. and lifted
her up to the plateau
of grace

VERONICA'S VEIL

A clover veil..
does violet the vale..
and the sun's light
ultraviolet
.. in many hues prevails.

GIFT OF BEAUTY

She did not want
in that life that
beauty be bequeathed
..
she did not want
the wrapping
to be more beautiful
than the gift..
nor the unwanted lust
of men following her
as if she were
a dog in heat..
nor the jealousy of women
to bar her from their
hearts.... nor
to see her body as
any more than the glove
of Spirit

FIR TREE IN THE SUN

Branches of the fir
tree still covered in
snow..
but melting in the sun
.. both lace shawl
and jeweled rhinestones
.. but it is the melting
drops
which in the sun glow

Miss Moss
.. has been busy
for many years
painting many rocks
jade.. some tree trunks
iridescent green
... water is always
on her brush

from dawn's blush
to soft evening's hush

or ultraviolet sun prevails

INSPIRATION'S OARS AND LIME DRIPS

The oars of inspiration
dip gently into the lake of memory
stirring up the past..
while a semi-lime rains
gently into a cup of berry tea

PAINT ON CORPSES

When men arrange beauty
contests to make
meat out of women
makeup is used.

When dead bodies
are not cremated
they are sometimes lipsticked
at the funeral home

When murdered pigs' bodies are
preserved to be eaten
by hitmen's payers,
red dye carcinogenic
nitrates are shot into
their flesh.

When sentient trees'
birds and squirrels
are evicted and they
are killed,
their bodies are
sometimes decorated
with baubles.

When serial killing generals
and warfunds voting senators
appear
before the tv cameras
they wear makeup.

Questions are asked
of them by news anchors
.. also makeup'd, who
have their jobs
because they lie glibly
in the promotion of war

but the lilies and roses
the gardenias in God's gardens
are never gilded .. nor
do they tell lies or
bomb each other
