BIRDBRAIN

They called the weathervane
a scattered birdbrain
because the Wind Of Spirit
moved her in His train

HEART CHALICES

Father Mother God
we beg You today
to drink to the full
the heart
chalices in every creature
.. chalices You have
filled with pain.

QUICK MELT WITHOUT FLOOD

Only God can bring the sun
quickly to a snowcovered
freezing land.. without
flooding.

FRONDPRINTS

No matter how high
it climbs
the mountain ash
finds
he cannot stamp his
frondprints of green hue
upon the sky of spiritblue

THANKSGIVING

Turkeys
gave thanks in November

to vegetarians.

CRUNCHING SNOW

We do not have the infinite

factors necessay to

judge.  One day

those who dutifully
shoveled their walks
unwittingly later
left a surface of ice
whereas those
who neglected

to shovel

left a safe place
to walk in
the crunching snow.

the mother bear
is not cold
to her friends
or her own fold
