And they wouldn't miss that small change at all.

 

I'm all for a free market system, but when the gulf between the rich and the poor becomes that wide, when other more egalitarian countries see us as a poverty-stricken nation with just a few families holding most of the wealth, when we forget that all our "freedoms" mean nothing when there's no freedom from want, when we've deluded ourselves into thinking that needing two or three jobs to survive is normal . . . well, it's time to rethink our wild west capitalism. Not do away with it. Just make it a little less of an obscene, rigged game. 

 

You make an excellent case for revisiting something that made it possible for many of our ancestors to survive.
