Those who want to make abortion illegal should not call themselves
'prolife' since as a group they support the Republican Party, which
is the party of executioners, warhawks, trophy hunters, factory farmers,
and slaughterhouses. Antiabortionists are pro fetal rights.
Because of Catholic bishops and others supporting the Republican
Party, Bush 1 and Bush 2 caused two wars against sovereign Iraq,
the Afghanistan 20 year war, the bombing of Syria. Because of the
'prolife' party, the US is one of the last 18 countries in the world
involved in the ancient barbarism of prisoner murder. The allies
of the US in crime include China and Saudi Arabia which has
actually stoned, decapitated, and crucified prisoners.

I have actually been torn on this issue, but I do know this: If you're going to treasure a human life before birth you need to support it after it's born as well, but instead, the Right generally cuts safety nets and education (An investment, not a luxury!) and introduces them to the brutal individualism you describe.
In countries where contraception is widely available and abortion is legal, the abortion rate is actually lower than countries with restrictive laws. I also don't believe it's a coincidence that in these progressive nations, millions aren't one paycheck away from homelessness and children aren't among those sleeping in the cold.
We need to make this nation a better place to be born into before we judge pregnant women. Always enjoy your perspectives.
