Socialism is economic democracy.
Capitalism is oligarchic plutocracy.
In the US we have been taught
that communism and democracy
are opposite... but
one cannot compare
economic systems (e.g.
communism, socialism,
capitalism) to political
systems (monarchy,
oligarchy, democracy).
There have been elected
communist governments
and capitalist tyrannies.
When Jeff Bezos and other centibillionaires (Is Bezos a duocentibillionaire with wealth said to be 200 billion)
can buy elections, their wealth is antithetical to democracy.
