Jeannette Rankin, repreentin a Montana district, was the only member of Congress to

vote against entry into WW1 and WW2. Senator Wayne Morse of Oregon and Senator

and physician Ernest Gruening of Alaska were the only 2 senators who voted against the Tonkin Gulf resolution, by which LBJ, based on the black op of Tonkin Gulf, chose to expand the war. Barbara Lee represeting part of California was the only member of

Congress to vote against the entry into Afghanistan initiated by

G W Bush after Sept 11, 2001.
