A Writer's Tale

I was born at a table in a foreign business school by the hands of Patricia Young. Outside, Brian Bartlett played tourist, scavenger, rummaged the book table like one of us. Said nothing when Katie picked up his book. Went unnoticed. Later, I saved his copy of The Prose Poem by Michael Benedikt. It’s worth $167. Perhaps that was my miracle. Perhaps I fulfilled my destiny. Maybe now I can move on to be a star in the writer’s sky.
