Friends at war

What did I do to deserve this pain,

What was there for you to gain?

Test my patience, torment my soul,

This time it is beyond control.

Why tell others who they must like?

Three points to you, that’s a strike.

Are you afraid of the bare truth?

Aging fast, yet stuck in your youth.

Well whatever you say, I don’t care anymore,

Keep fighting your adolescent war.

For, It’s over for me, I’m not going to fight,

No more fire for you to ignite.

I’ve said my peace, now time you learned,

It’s time you stopped fighting before you get burned.

I bid you farewell, have a good life,

I don’t have time for this strife.

Remember these words, never forget,

Can you live with it, without regret?

I’m sure you can, almighty lord,

Now I’m starting to get bored.

I have patronised you enough,

Now it’s time to get stuffed.

I can move on, I will live my life,

What about you? Still going to live by the knife?

Author's Notes/Comments:

I wrote two poems whilst I was arguing with a friend. This is one of them. They were a way to calm myself down.
